XAT

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is national-level management entrance examination conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. Apart from XLRI and 10 other XAMI members, over 700 B-schools accept XAT scores for admission to their post graduate management programmes. The XAT exam is conducted in online mode at various test centres in 46 cities across India. the question paper consists of 100 questions MCQs from Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Qunatitative Ability & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge. XAT registration for 2020-2021 exam will begin in August.

January 21: XLRI shortlist announced for HRM, BM programmes along with category-wise cut offs. Candidates can apply GD-PI round till January 23, 2020. 

January 17: XAT result 2020 announced by XLRI, Jamshedpur. Candidates can check their result and download scorecards from the official website now. 

January 5: XAT 2020 exam held at various exam centres in 46 cities across India. As per the XAT analysis 2020 by experts, the question paper was moderate to difficult.

XAT Eligibility Criteria

 

The minimum eligibility criteria for XAT is given below. To be able to appear for the exam, it is mandatory to fulfill the eligibility criteria.

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university
  • Students in their final year of Bachelor's degree or awaiting their results are also eligible to apply

XAT Exam Pattern and Test Structure

 

XAT exam is conducted in online mode and the question paper consists of 100 MCQs to be solved in 180 minutes. There is no sectional time limit in XAT but candidates are advised to set a time limit for all the four sections so that they can solve at least that many questions in each section so that they meet the sectional cut off. Each right answer carries one mark and each wrong answer carries -0.25 marks. Here are the highlights of XAT exam pattern
